In this manufacturing process we use an autoclave of 1.5 metres in diameter by 3 metres in length, which allows us to introduce parts or partitions that do not exceed these dimensions. Depending on the volume of production, the autoclave at Iberia Compositech can be used between two and three times a day.
Before starting, Once the moulds are ready, they are carefully placed inside the autoclave, making sure that all hose connections are tight. The autoclave is then hermetically sealed.
Through an advanced programming system, the curing cycle is controlled, which includes both the gradual increase in temperature and the pressure applied. This autoclave can reach temperatures of up to 200 degrees Celsius, allowing the compounds to solidify uniformly and efficiently.
The cycle can last several hours, during which the internal conditions are monitored in real time to ensure that everything is running according to the set parameters. At the end, the autoclave cools down and the cured parts are removed, ready for final finishing and validation.
With the process complete, the parts obtained meet the highest quality standards, ready for use in demanding sectors such as automotive, aeronautics or space. Each autoclave cycle guarantees the precision and durability that our customers expect.
At IBERIA COMPOSITECH Manufacturing, our technology and experience ensure tailor-made solutions, optimised for the most demanding challenges of the present and future.
