Maintenance Technician – Welding & Electrical

At Iberia Compositech Manufacturing, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician with experience in welding and electrical systems to join our team at our facilities in Calatayud, Zaragoza.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, facilities and equipment, with a particular focus on welding and electrical work, helping to ensure the availability, safety and proper operation of our production equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on low-voltage electrical installations, including electrical panels, wiring and machinery.

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery and facilities, helping to minimise production downtime.

• Perform assembly, wiring and commissioning of new electrical installations or equipment.

• Carry out electrical, TIG and MIG welding work as required for the repair and fabrication of parts, tooling and auxiliary structures.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical machinery and installations, including autoclaves, CNC machines, compressors and vacuum systems.

• Manufacture or adapt simple workshop parts and tooling using basic machining, cutting and assembly processes.

• Record maintenance activities, working times, materials used and detected incidents in the company’s maintenance management system.

• Support the implementation and monitoring of the preventive maintenance plan for machinery and facilities.

• Report relevant incidents, spare-part requirements and any potential risks identified within the facilities.

• Comply with occupational health and safety procedures and ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all maintenance activities.

Requirements:

• Vocational Training qualification (Intermediate or Higher Level) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Welding, Mechanics or a related technical field.

• 2–3 years of experience in industrial maintenance.

• Proven hands-on experience in welding and electrical work.

• Valid welding qualification or certification according to the applicable welding process.

• Training in electrical safety and basic occupational health and safety (OHS/PRL).

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Good organisational skills and technical accuracy.

• Strong safety awareness and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Technical versatility across electrical, welding and mechanical maintenance will be highly valued.

No specific foreign language level is required for this position.
